Graduated in Biological Sciences (2000), Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, master’s degree in Parasitic Biology (2003), and doctorate in Cellular and Molecular Biology (2007), Fundação Oswaldo Cruz. Obtained the EMBO Fellow scholarship at Charles University (Czech Rep.) and Post-Doc CAPES at the University of Texas Medical Branch (USA). Worked as an Associate Researcher at Imperial College London (UK) (2016-2018). He is currently Full Researcher at the Instituto Oswaldo Cruz – Fiocruz. He has experience in Cellular, Molecular Biology, acting mainly with biological control and cellular and molecular aspects of insect vector immunity.


Graduated in Biological Sciences (2002), Universidade Regional Integrada do Alto Uruguai e das Missões, master’s degree in Plant Physiology (2006), Universidade Federal de Pelotas and PhD in Genetics and Molecular Biology (2009), Unviersadade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). She did a Postdoctoral internship in Genetics and Molecular Evolution at PPGBM/UFRGS and is currently a professor at Department of Genetics at UFRGS. She has experience in molecular biology techniques such as real-time PCR, gene cloning, DNA sequencing and molecular markers, as well as in the use of bioinformatics tools. The main current lines of research are the study of adaptive evolution in populations of native plants in South America through the use of genomic approaches and molecular evolution of gene families.


Graduated in Data Processing Technology (1985), Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC). Master’s degree in Systems and Computer Engineering at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro and PhD. in Informatique – Recherche Operationnelle – Université de Grenoble I (Scientifique Et Medicale – Joseph Fourier). She was a posdoctoral researcher at INRIA/Sophia-Antipolis, France and at Simon Fraser University, in Vancouver, Canada. She is a full professor at UFC and held the position of Scientific Director of FUNCAP (Fundação Cearense de Apoio ao Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico) (2010-2011 and 2012-2014). She is a member of the permanent staff of the Algorithms Line of the Master and Doctorate in Computer Science and collaborator of the Combinatory Line of the Mathematics Graduate Program. Participated in CAPES ‘Triennial and Quadrennial Evaluation Committees and was Regional Secretary of the Sociedade Brasileira para o Progresso da Ciência (SBPC) in 2017-2019. She is currently a member of the CNPq Advisory Committee, in the area of Computer Science, Advisor to Seara Science Museum at UFC, Member of the UFC Human Rights Committee and Secretary of the SBPC.


Graduated in Biological Science, Faculdades Integradas de Ourinhos (2007) and Universidade Estadual de Maringá (UEM, 2010) and Master’s in Health Sciences (2012), UEM and PhD in Biotechnology and Biosciences (2016), Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. She has experience in Molecular Parasitology with an emphasis on the study of Trypanosoma cruzi and Leishmania sp. Also, she has experience in Molecular Biology of prokaryotic and eukaryotic systems, synthetic biology, gene editing and immunology of parasite-host interaction.

Master’s in Cell and Developmental Biology (2015), Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. She is currently part of the Clinical Science Liaison team at the Fabry and Pompe disease in Sanofi Genzyme, Buenos Aires, Argentina.


Graduated in Biological Science (1983), Universidade do Porto, Portugal, and PhD in Sciences (1994), Universidade do Minho (UMinho), Portugal. She is Associate Professor with Habilitation at UMinho and Researcher at the Centre of Molecular and Environmental Biology. Works with the topics: Biodiversity and freshwater ecosystem functioning, Aquatic pollution from eutrophication, metals, PAHs and nanoparticles, Ecotoxicology, Biorremediation, Biodegradation of plastics, Eco-physiology of aquatic fungi, Metals and nanoparticles/microbe interactions, Molecular tools to assess microbial diversity and function in freshwaters.


Graduated in Biological Sciences (2006), Universidad Federal de Pernambuco (UFP), master’s degree in Ecology (2008), Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul and PhD in Physiological Sciences (2012), Universidade Federal do Rio Grande (FURG), with a doctorate sandwich internship held at Universidade de Lisboa, Portugal. Currently, he is the President of the Brazilian Society of Ecotoxicology, 2nd Treasurer of Latin American Association of Environmental, Experimental and Nanomaterials Toxicology, Adjunct Professor IV at FURG, Permanent Professor and Coordinator at Health Sciences Graduate Program at FURG and leader of the Terrestrial Ecotoxicology Research Group of the Institution. He has experience in the use of biomarkers for the diagnosis of soils contaminated by toxic and genotoxic substances and in the use of physiological parameters to diagnose exposure to environmental agents, using different biological models. 


Graduated in Veterinary Medicine (2011), Universidade Estadual de Santa Catarina (UDESC). Master’s degree through the Anatomy of Domestic and Wild Animals (2013), Universidade de São Paulo (USP). PhD in Cell and Developmental Biology (2018), Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. She is currently a posdoctoral researcher fellow in the Comparative Biosciences department at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, United States. She has experience in the field of biology and cell culture, stem cells and tissue regeneration.


Graduated in Pharmacy (2003), Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC). Master’s degree in Biotechnology (2007), UFSC. PhD in Cell and Developmental Biology (2014), UFSC. She is currently Scientific Director and founder of Biogenetika, Center for Individualized Medicine. She has experience in Human Genetics and Molecular Biology.

Master’s and PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology (2009), Fundação Oswaldo Cruz and she was posdoctoral researcher in Bioinformatics (2011), Fundação Oswaldo Cruz. She was an adjunct professor at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). In 2016, she was awarded the Royal Society’s competitive Newton International Fellowship to carry out a mission abroad until 2018, where she developed a project in the area of population genomics of parasites and malaria vectors at Imperial College London (UK). She is currently Associate Professor I at UFSC.


Graduated in Biological Sciences (1993) with a specialization in Molecular Biology, Universidad de Buenos Aires. PhD in Biological Sciences (1998) with specialization in Neurosciences on the same University. He was posdoctoral researcher (2001), Universidade de São Paulo and postdoctoral in the Neurobiology Department (2006), Yale University Medical School, USA. He was Assistant professor in the Department of Neurological Surgery at Ohio State University, assistant professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at Harvard Medical School and researcher and director of the Department of Neurosurgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He is currently director of research at the Brain Tumors Laboratory of the Department of Neuroscience and Physiology at the State University of New York – Upstate Medical School and associate professor in the same department since 2016.

She was posdoctoral researcher in Biochemistry and Pharmacology (2004), Instituto Butantan. She is currently Scientific Researcher at Laboratório Especial de Toxinologia Aplicada (LETA), Instituto Butantan. Principal Researcher and Diffusion Coordinator at the Center for Toxins, Immune Response and Cell Signaling (CeTICS CEPID FAPESP). She implemented and coordinates the Plataforma Zebrafish do Instituto Butantan where she develops works in the field of ecotoxicology and immunology. She works on the toxicological characterization of animal poisons and toxins, mainly from pisces, with  emphasis on the following areas: immunology, pharmacology and biochemistry.

She was posdoctoral researcher in Cell and Developmental Biology (2016), UFSC. She is currently a professor at UFSC and develops a research project with stem cells derived from the skin, assessing its potential for skin repair and hair follicle regeneration. She works as a collaborator at Laboratório de Células Tronco e Regeneração Tecidual (LACERT), UFSC.


Graduated in Bioanalysis (2002), Universidad de Carabobo, Venezuela. PhD (2008) at Facultad de Medicina, Departamento de Obstetrícia y Ginecologia, Universidad de Valencia, Spain. She is a professor in Master’s Degree in Biotechnology of Assisted Human Reproduction, Universidad de Valencia. She is a Senior Clinical Embryologist, Supervisor of the In Vitro Fertilization Laboratory of the IVI Valencian Institute of Infertility (Spain). She specializes in Biotechnology of Human Reproduction.


Graduated Biological Sciences (2007), Universidade Regional de Blumenau. Master’s in Biochemistry (2010), Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina  (UFSC) and PhD in Neurosciences (2014), UFSC. She is currently Professor at UFSC, Campus Curitibanos. Her research focuses on Copper cytotoxicity in astrocytes and neurons: role of the re-adaptation of cellular energy metabolism in cells of the central nervous system exposed to high metal concentrations.

Worked as Laboratory Assistant at Universidade de São Paulo at the Institute of Biosciences – Department of Botany (2012-2018).
