About IV Karyokinesis Symposium
The IV Karyokinesis Symposium maintains the event’s initial idea of creating opportunities for scientific discussion in Cell, Molecular and Developmental Biology. Initially, inspired by the capacity of cells to divide and multiply simultaneously, the event premise is to enable researchers to share and multiply knowledge on cell, molecular and developmental biology.
The event was idealized by the students of the Graduate Program in Cell and Developmental Biology (PPGBCD) at Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC). After two years of remote event, the Karyokinesis Symposium returns to in-person modality in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina. Under the guidance of Evelise Maria Nazari, PhD the event will consist of lectures and round-tables set up with speakers with expertise in the addressed fields, besides presentations from undergraduate and graduate students about the research they’ve been developing at our University. Furthermore, the event will feature oral presentations of the best abstracts in the different thematic areas proposed: cell, molecular, developmental biology and related areas.
