About VI Karyokinesis Symposium 2024
From the beginning, the Karyokinesis Symposium has been inspired by the remarkable ability of cells to divide and multiply, reflecting the dynamic and constantly evolving nature of scientific inquiry. With the core premise of sharing and expanding knowledge in cellular, molecular, and developmental biology, this event has grown to become a crucial platform for scientists to exchange groundbreaking ideas and foster collaborative research. The VI Karyokinesis Symposium continues this tradition by providing a space for in-depth scientific discussions, promoting the integration of novel insights and methodologies, and encouraging the development of innovative approaches in these critical fields.
The event is idealized by the students of the Programa de Pós-Graduação em Biologia Celular e do Desenvolvimento (PPGBCD) at Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC). The event will consist of lectures and round-tables set up with speakers with expertise in the addressed fields, besides presentations from undergraduate and graduate students about the research they’ve been developing and oral presentations of the best abstracts in the different thematic areas proposed: cell, molecular, developmental biology and related areas.
